Position: Junior Chef

Location: Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi

Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
• Certifications: Basic food hygiene and safety certifications are required.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Languages: Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking according to recipes and quality standards.
• Help with menu planning, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, and organized, and follows health and safety regulations.
• Assisted with daily inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients.
• Work with the team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation, particularly during peak hours.
• Help in maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Handle basic kitchen duties such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking simple dishes.
• Stay updated with new cooking techniques and trends to enhance menu offerings.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Junior Chef / Chef Assistant in Bakery or Pastries: 1 year (Preferred)
