Job description

Position: Junior Barista

Location: OVE Artisan Bakery, Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Beverages:

• Assist in making various coffee drinks (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.).
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment.

2. Customer Service:

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Take and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about the menu and suggest items when asked.

3. Maintain Cleanliness:

• Ensure the cleanliness of the coffee-making area, workstations, and dining areas.
• Wash and store equipment, utensils, and dishes properly after use.

4. Stock Management:

• Monitor and maintain inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Report shortages to the supervisor or manager.

5. Cashier Duties:

• Handle cash and card transactions at the counter when necessary.
• Maintain the till and ensure accurate transaction handling.

6. Assist Senior Baristas:

• Follow guidance from senior baristas and supervisors.
• Learn new coffee-making techniques and processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a barista is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation.
• Willingness to learn and take instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic understanding of coffee machines and tools.
• Excellent customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good multitasking skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
